ASDA has hidden four items in its latest Christmas advert for shoppers to spot.
And customers have until Monday, November 7 to do so.
Asda is offering its shoppers that spot the four items the chance to win £100 – but customers need to act fast.
The competition was launched after Asda revealed its showstopping Christmas advert which saw the return of an iconic festive film character.
As part of the competition, shoppers will need to locate four hidden items in the advert for the chance to win the free cash.
This year’s ad saw the return of Buddy the Elf – 19 years after Will Ferrell played the character in the 2003 film Elf.
And Asda has strategically placed four items shown in the original Elf movies for shoppers to spot.
But, customers will need to pick the four items featured in the advert from a list of eight items:
Francisco name badge
Jack in the Box
Narwhall
New York taxi
Racoon mug
Santa’s sleigh
Snow globe
Spaghetti & maple syrup
And there’s a catch – only those who are members of Asda’s loyalty scheme can take part.
The 50 lucky winners will each receive £100 directly into their Asda Rewards cash pot.
So if you want to take part, you’ll need to sign up to become an Asda Rewards member online or in-store.
Asda Rewards allows customers to collect “Asda pounds” every time they buy Star Products and complete Missions in-store.
Shoppers get cash back on their shopping when they buy certain own-brand and big-brand products.
Rewards you earn can be accessed in your “cash pot” within the app.
Once you’ve built up cash, you redeem the money by creating a voucher in the app, which you scan at the checkout.
Cashback is personalised, with rewards offered on the items you’re most likely to buy.
Customers wishing to take part in the Christmas advert competition can do so on Asda’s website.
Shoppers will need to complete their answers and enter the prize draw before the competition closes on Monday.
A spokesperson for Asda said: “To celebrate the launch of its Christmas campaign starring the iconic Buddy the Elf, Asda is offering 50 lucky winners and Elf superfans the chance to win £100 in their Asda Rewards Cashpot if they can spot four hidden clues from the Elf movie within its Christmas ad.”
The supermarket partnered with Warner Bros to bring Buddy the elf back to our screens – a whole 19 years after the film Elf was released.
And viewers have taken to social media to praise the supermarket’s festive campaign, with some saying it even beats previous John Lewis ads.
Will Ferell didn’t have to film a single scene – but he did ensure that he had a say over the final product.
The festive ad opens with a loving homage to Elfâs iconic “street crossing” scene in front of an Asda superstore blanketed in snow.
All scenes containing Buddy come from the original film and have magically been stitched together inviting the Elf to the wonders held inside one of Asda’s superstores.
The advert’s music keeps it classy throughout and features the classic Sinatra redefinition of Santa Clause is Comin’ to Town.
