Shoppers took to Facebook’s Extreme Couponing and Bargains Group to share their saving successes.
According to customer comments, shoppers can get their hands on Christmas trees for as little as 20p, plus other decorations from 10p.
Another shopper also said she got a 6ft artificial tree for £10, 720 lights for £5 and a box of decorations for £3 – in response, one person replied that was an “amazing find”.
We asked B&Q for info on the sale and it said managers of each store decide what items to discount, by how much and for how long.
It’s worth checking your local B&Q store to see what bargains you can find.
Locations shoppers have mentioned the sale is on include Grimsby, Leicester and Stockton – though of course it can vary from store to store.
One shopper wrote on Facebook that her husband manages their local B&Q and the sale is a drive to get rid of all its Christmas stock.
Another said: “B&Q were literally giving Christmas things away tonight, they said everything will be about 10p in the morning! I got a silver tree for £2.50 from £65.”
Another lucky shopper added: “I was there yesterday morning got over £450 worth of Xmas stuff for £47.”
We don’t know for sure what items are on sale, but it looks like it’s mostly festive items like trees, lights and wreaths.
Though some bargain-hunters commented that there wasn’t much stock left when they visited.
One said: “Nothing left Grimsby.
“Only real trees, [I] was there for 7am this morning, it all got reduced yesterday morning!”
Of course, it’s always worth shopping around for the best deals and prices can vary from store to store.
We also checked online and B&Q does have Christmas items on sale too, though we don’t know for sure how they compare to in store deals.
For example, real Christmas trees are selling from £13 online but you might get one for much less in store.
