TERRY’S chocolate orange is a staple in Christmas stockings on December 25 – but you can pick it up for a bargain price this week.
Morrisons is selling the iconic Christmas treat for just 75p – saving customers £1.25.
Shoppers can pick up the sweet treat at one of Morrison’s 498 stores, or online from today.
But they’ll have to be quick – the offer finishes this Sunday, November 27 and stocks are limited.
Plus, the offer is only available on the milk chocolate flavour and not the dark or white chocolate versions.
The chocolate orange weighs in at 157g and is 820 calories.
Of course, it’s always worth shopping around when looking for the best prices – you might find it cheaper elsewhere.
Websites like Trolley.co.uk let you compare the prices of 130,000 products across 14 major supermarkets.
Plus, the Latest Deals app also lets you search items and compare prices at several supermarkets to see which one is cheapest.
When we looked online Asda, B&M, Iceland and Tesco were the next cheapest retailers selling the choc – it’s £1 there.
After that, Co-op was charging £1.25 while Sainsbury’s was selling it for £1.95.
However, these prices were based on looking online – they may vary in your local supermarket.
Here’s how prices compared across each supermarket.
Morrison’s
Morrison’s is selling the Terry’s Chocolate Oranges for 75p, but only until this Sunday.
It’s not the first time Morrison’s has dropped the price of its Terry’s Chocolate Oranges before Christmas.
The supermarket chain reduced its dark and milk chocolate flavours down from £2 to 75p last November.
Asda
Asda is selling the 157g box for £1, the next cheapest after Morrison’s.
It comes after the retailer brought back its white chocolate version in time for Christmas 2020.
In more recent news, the supermarket chain has launched a 50% off Black Friday sale.
B&M
B&M is selling the milk Terry’s Chocolate Orange for a quid as well.
You can also buy a 90g Terry’s Chocolate Orange bar there for £1 and a 70g Chocolate Orange Snowballs bag for the same price too.
Back in March 2018, the retailer launched a Terry’s Chocolate Orange Easter egg for £1.99.
Iceland
Iceland is another retailer selling the 157g Terry’s Chocolate Orange box for £1 as well.
But it was selling it for 50p cheaper back in 2019.
Tesco
One of the UK’s biggest supermarket chains is selling the Chocolate Orange for £1.
In 2020, customers could get them for 75p though, while the retailer dropped prices to 75p in 2019 too.
Co-op
The Co-op, with more than 2,500 stores across the UK, is selling the Chocolate Orange for £1.25 in the run up to Christmas.
It comes after the retailer ditched this year’s Christmas advert for a community food project.
Sainsbury’s
Sainsbury’s was the most expensive supermarket selling the Chocolate Orange when we looked online.
The supermarket chain was selling it for £1.95.
It’s also selling the dark chocolate version for the same price to satisfy those with a different palette.
