What is Lapland UK?

The theme park is located in Ascot, Berkshire and allows kids to live out their winter dreams with Santa and his team.

It promises families a “secret immersive adventure based on an original reimagination of the Father Christmas myth”.

After booking tickets, children are sent a personalised invitation from Father Christmas, sealed with wax and housed in an ornate presentation box, requesting the help of the child this year.

After arriving, guests are given an “Elf Passport” to travel along the elven pathways and through a magical door, as well as being able to buy “jingle” currency to spend at the experience.

Inside is a 90-minute show of immersive theatre, where performers interact with the audience.

Also along the way is a visit to the Toy Factory where kids can help build the toys alongside elves Whittle, Conker and Wish, as well as “Mother Christmas” Kitchen with gingerbread decorating classes.

Kids will be able to meet huskies, reindeer and by the end of it, they’re treated to an audience with Father Christmas.

A visit to the ice skating rink as well as cafes, the post office and the sweet shop are also part of the day, as is a visit to Pumpernickel’s restaurant.

The entire tour takes up to four hours and is perfect for even young children.

The experience includes toys along the way – among which is a toy they make in the workshop and is given to parents secretly in time for Christmas, as well as an apron they use to make gingerbread in Mother Christmas’ kitchen.

A framed picture with Santa Claus himself is also included.

Kids are also sent a personalised box before the tour with invites from Lapland and Santa himself, with parents advised to put it in the fridge as it was “sent directly from Lapland”.

When is it?

Lapland UK runs from November 12 until December 24, 2022.

How much does it cost?

Tickets start from £59pp, plus booking fees, and cost the same for both adults and children.

Complimentary tickets are available for babies under 12 months.

All bookings have a limit of eight people per group.

How do I get tickets?

Tickets for 2022 have already sold out.

However, families can sign up to get any cancellations, or get tickets for 2023 here.

What are the reviews?

Families have praised the experience for being inclusive of both parents and kids.

One woman wrote: “This is the only place in the UK on par with Disney Florida magic.”

Someone else added: “I didn’t think I would say this (I’m not easily impressed) but it was worth every penny non of us will forget this experience in a hurry.”

Celebrities are also fans – Holly Willoughby was spotted there in 2019, along with David Beckham, Idris Elba and Liv Tyler.

We visited Lapland UK for ourselves – here is what you can expect from the experience.
