Martin Lewis’ MoneySavingExpert reveals cheapest supermarket to buy 1litre bottle of Baileys this week

MARTIN Lewis’ MoneySavingExpert has revealed where festive shoppers can bag the cheapest 1l bottle of Baileys this week.

Sainsbury’s customers will be able to grab a bottle of the Christmas drink for £10 from today, November 16.

You can grab a cheap 1l bottle of Baileys in Sainsbury’s this week

The consumer website offered the tip in its latest newsletter.

Lewis also shared the advice on the latest episode of his ITV Money Show.

He said on the Christmas Special: “Baileys is reduced at Sainsbury’s.

“A one litre bottle – £10. It normally costs £22, although last year Tesco went down to £9.50.”

Customers will have to be fast to bag the offer though – it’s only running until this Sunday, November 20.

Plus, you can only get the bottle in superstores and online, not Sainsbury’s locals or centrals.

The offer only applies to orders delivered between November 16 and 20.

Of course, it’s always worth shopping around for the best deals as you might be able to find a product cheaper elsewhere.

Websites like trolley.co.uk let you compare thousands of goods across a number of high street supermarkets.

How much is a 1litre bottle of Baileys elsewhere?

We checked online to see how much a 1litre bottle of Baileys is at other supermarkets.

Sainsbury’s is the cheapest and next is Morrisons, which is selling it for £12.99.

Asda and Ocado are both selling it for £13 while Tesco customers can grab one for £21, or £13 with a Clubcard.

In most cases, it will be cheaper per 100ml to get a 1litre bottle of Baileys rather than a 70cl bottle as well.

Ocado, Sainsbury’s and Asda are the cheapest supermarkets for a smaller bottle but they’re selling it at £10, £1.43 per litre.

In other news, Asda is selling an air fryer perfect to cook a roast dinner in that could help slash your energy bills.

Plus, a farmer has claimed he knows why a number of retailers are suffering from egg shortages.
