Next to a conventional set of stairs, the modern property comes featuring a metal slide ‘for kids of all ages’

Boasting an open-plan layout and a spacious back garden, the property comes with all the features of a classic family home.

But listing agent Durrants are hoping its extra-ordinary component will secure the perfect buyer.

Alongside a conventional flight of stairs, the home also comes equipped with a metal slide that pops through to the downstairs hallway.

The property listing reads: “To get back down to the ground floor, you can of course take the stairs.

“But why would you when the property benefits from its own slide to effortlessly return to the ground floor level.

“Great fun for kids of all ages.”

The home is also just a 15-minute walk from the beach and offers gorgeous sunny sea views.

As a converted bungalow, the first of four bedrooms is found downstairs alongside a comfortable living room.

The remaining three bedrooms are upstairs – with one also featuring a lavish en-suite.

While the slide is sure to attract the most attention, the listing notes that the open-plan kitchen and dining room is “without a doubt the heart of the home”.

It adds: “The rooms on the ground floor flow effortlessly, weaving together contrasting materials, textures, colours and finishes.

“This wonderful space is bathed in natural light courtesy of the bi-folding doors overlooking the garden and measures almost 10m x 10m in size.

“In the kitchen area, dark cupboards provide a contrast to the rest of the house, providing a refined and stylish distinction.”

For slightly bigger families, the listing agent adds that although the first floor bedroom is the biggest, it is so spacious the new owners could easily add an extra room with the installation of a dividing wall.

“The main bedroom is beautifully light and has south-west facing views, a dressing room/wardrobe area and an en-suite shower room,” the listing reads.

“Elevated views from the window extend across to Southwold. Also on the first floor is a family bathroom which comprises a separate bath and shower.”

Despite its many features, the slide steals the show – and has led the house to be heaped with praise from prospective buyers.

One said: “I’d buy this just for the slide.”

Another said “love this”, while a third said it was “so fun”.

Removal firm Bishop’s Move joked: “It would make carrying the furniture downstairs so much easier.”

The listing agent is taking viewing appointments for the property, advertised on Rightmove.
