A POSH apartment has hit the market for £412,000 but it’s being mocked by house hunters over its view.
The luxury home appears as though it’s based on the water’s edge as the ‘views’ from its windows show stunning sea-front sights with a large cruise ship coming in.
But eagle-eyed to-be buyers have noticed those views are in fact fake – and the East Sussex pad is actually about one mile from the ocean.
The one-bedroom flat is advertised with full modern décor and said to be âextremely high specificationâ with a âsuperior finish”.
The images of the home, which are also artists’ impressions, show an open plan with the kitchen leading into the lounge and dining area.
It boasts a double bedroom with a separate bathroom, a balcony, and whoever snaps it up will have access to a communal roof terrace.
The listing says the property is “walking distance” to the nearby Brighton Beach and a 20-minute stroll to the seaside pier.
In the living area there are two windows showing the ‘sea view’ and another in the bedroom.
This is what left prospective buyers scratching their heads.
One person wrote online: âItâs like Speed 2.â
Another said: “Iâm dying at the simulation of the view from this flat.
âJust imagining someone slowly putting down the newspaper as a cruise ship’s horn blares out from 500m away.”
The £412,000 property, on Newtown Road, Hove, is being sold by estate agents North Property Group and advertised on Rightmove.
The property listing highlights are: âGorgeous apartment, high tenant demand, balcony, 20 minutes to Brighton Pier, stunning specification, less than one hour to London, roof terrace, yields up to 13%, walking distance to Brighton beach.â
The full listing reads: âProviding luxury living in one of Britain’s most popular seaside destinations.
âThis is a unique development that raises the bar for residential accommodation in Hove and gives easy access to Brighton and London.
âThis combination makes the building perfect for both young professionals and families.
âEvery property benefits from an extremely high specification and a superior finish which will provide a new, luxury standard of living for residents.
âOpen plan living spaces and premium fixtures, fittings and furnishings complete the picture of home which prioritises relaxation, quality of life and wellbeing.
âThe level of quality is maintained in the communal areas which include a residents’ lounge, a communal roof terrace, a café and co-working spaces for the perfect work/life balance.
âFinally, a limited amount of parking spaces available with selected units only.â
Other listings from North Property Group show the same designs, and with the same ‘views’ from the windows, in towns all over the UK.
