SCREWFIX is one of the UK’s most popular DIY stores, supplying people with materials and equipment.

If you are planning on starting a project this Christmas, or are hoping to buy some new tools, you may want to check the companies opening hours, to avoid inconvenience over the bank holiday. Here’s all you need to know.

Screwfix is closed on Christmas day and Boxing day

Is Screwfix open over the Christmas Bank Holiday?

Screwfix is open on Christmas eve, but close earlier at 4pm.

Stores are not open on Christmas day and Boxing day, they will reopen to customers on December 27 with reduced opening hours.

Screwfix is open on New Year’s eve until 4pm.

The stores will then be closed for the whole of New Year’s day, reopening on January 2.

This doesn’t include stores located in Scotland, as they will be closed on January 2 as well, and reopen with reduced opening hours on January 3.

Are shops closed on the Bank Holiday?

The majority of retailers have confirmed the days people will be able to shop in their stores over the Christmas period.

Most shops and supermarkets will be closed for certain days in order to give staff some much-needed time off.

Almost all stores across the UK are shut on Christmas Day, but there are also a handful of retailers that won’t open on Boxing Day either.

Opening hours can vary from branch to branch, so check your local store times before you make the trip.

Most big retailers will have their opening times listed on their websites.
