TESCO has reduced the price of its real Christmas trees, with some going for just over £6.
But shoppers will need to be quick as some stores appear to be sold out already.
You can’t purchase trees via the Tesco website but several posts on social media indicate there are many in its stores.
Posting on Facebook’s Extreme Couponing and Bargains group, one user wrote: “After seeing the post of Tesco Christmas trees reduced, my boyfriend went into our local one and although they were still priced £30, he asked and they were actually scanned at £6!
“So go and ask as they’re all reduced.”
One person commented on the post and said: “Five pounds in our Tesco.”
While on Twitter, one said: “Tesco have trees reduced yesterday [December 13].
“£30 real trees down to just over £6 – actually nice trees too!”
Smaller potted trees have been reduced to £5 – it looks like they were originally £25 or £30.
While the larger ones have been reduced from around £30 to £6.25.
You will need your Tesco Clubcard in order to grab the deal.
If you go without it or don’t have one, then you won’t be able to get the discount.
You can register for a Clubcard either via the Tesco Clubcard app or by going to the Tesco website.
We’ve asked Tesco if this is available in all Tesco stores and whether it applies to all trees, and we’ll update the piece once we hear back.
Make sure you hunt around for similar discounts and offers elsewhere to keep your options open.
In comparison, Wilko is selling a real 6ft Christmas tree for £65, while B&Q has 1-metre trees for £26.
It does look like Tesco is offering the best deal at the moment.
You can compare prices on websites like Google shopping and Trolley.co.uk – which compares the prices of 130,000 products across 14 major supermarkets.
The Latest Deals app also lets you search items and lets you compare prices at several supermarkets to see where it’s cheaper.
