FLYING with children can be a total nightmare – and for good reason.
There’s very little to do on planes to keep kids entertained, meaning they can quickly become annoyed and irritated.
However, there are ways to stop them from causing a fuss, without even having to for out for technology.
In fact, there are 100 things kids can do on planes to stop them getting bored, according to a handy paperback book, designed to keep kids happy when travelling.
The book titled 100 Things to do on a Plane by Emily Bone contains more than 100 puzzles, mazes, doodles, crosswords, wordsearches and more to keep children entertained for hours on long journeys.
It is also perfect for sharing and includes both individual and group activities so more than one child at a time can be occupied.
Parents love the book, giving it a rating of 4.8/5 overall on Amazon, where it is available for £4.50.
Lots of them left reviews too, saying it more than fulfilled its brief of keeping kids happy during flights.
One said: “I bought this for my daughter to take on her first time on an aeroplane.
“I made her a little pack to take on the plane so she didn’t get bored. Kept her entertained for ages.”
Another wrote: “Good size book for travel. Lots of different activities child can do on their own or with help. Happy 5 year old boy.”
A third added: “Quite a good idea to keep the kids off their screens. Lots to keep them occupied.”
The book is recommended for 6-9 year olds and is 112 pages in length.
The puzzles are also educational for kids and can help them prepare for their holidays too.
Packing lists and time zones are both included in the book’s contents.
Meanwhile, this mum revealed the £1.50 hardware shop item she buys before flying to keep her kids entertained.
Another told parents about her simple Amazon purchase that makes flights more exciting for her youngsters.
