Wetherspoons is making a major change to prices from tomorrow – and customers will be happy

WETHERSPOON is to slash its prices from tomorrow, giving punters cheaper food and booze.

The popular pub chain is cutting the cost of a number of menu items from tomorrow, January 3 and January 17, across venues in England and Wales.

While pubs in Scotland will see the price drops between January 4 and January 17.

Prices for drinks will start from just 99p.

Customers will be able to get Carlsberg, Bud Light, Guinness and Stowford Press Dark Berry Cider at slashed prices.

Pints of Ruddles beer will be on sale for 99p too across 560 pubs too.

Discounts will vary as pubs price their drinks differently, so make sure you ask at the bar before you order.

But the average price of a pint of Ruddles is £1.79 so customers buying the bev will be getting a roughly 45% discount.

Customers will be able to get reduced prices on a range of spirits too, including whisky, gin, rum and vodka.

Plus, coffee and soft drinks across 810 pubs will be reduced to 99p.

Tim Martin, Wetherspoon founder and chairman, said: “Department stores and shops hold their sales in January, so it is the perfect time to have a sale in the pub too.

“The range of drinks and food on sale in the pub is aimed at suiting a wide variety of tastes.

“This year we have included our biggest selection of low and non-alcoholic drinks.”;

  • Becks – 99p
  • Stowford Press Dark Berry Cider – £1.69
  • Stowford Press Apple Cider – £1.69
  • Ruddles Best and Worthington’s – 99p
  • Bell’s whisky – 99p
  • Diet Pepsi – 99p
  • Pepsi Max – 99p
  • R. Whites Lemonade – 99p
  • Pepsi Max Cherry – 99p
  • Lavazza coffee – 99p
  • Beck’s Blue – 99p
  • Adnams Ghost Ship – £1.49
  • Brewdog Punk AF – £1.49
  • Heineken 0.0 – £1.49
  • Low alcohol Koppaberg – £1.49
  • Low alcohol Erdinger – £1.49

Customers will be able to get discounts on food, including breakfast muffins, MOMA porridge and breakfast wraps across 640 pubs.

The porridge will cost £1.49, breakfast muffins with a hot drink will be £1.99 and breakfast wraps with a hot drink will cost £2.49.

A 3oz burger, served with chips and a soft drink will cost £4.49.

It’s not the first time Wetherspoon has slashed the price of its food and drink around Christmas time.

The pub chain offered customers reduced prices in January 2020 too with pints starting from under £2.

Customers could get beers from as cheap as 99p from November 2021 as well.
