I woke up from brain surgery craving my first ever McDonald’s at 60 – it was absolutely lovely

A HEALTH fanatic woke up from brain surgery craving her first ever McDonald’s.

Belle Gray, 60, ordered chicken McNuggets on her return home after finding her sense of taste had completely changed.

She said: “It’s very odd. For example, I had a crumpet with jam on it and it tasted like parsnips.”

Belle, of Ramsgate, Kent, used to hate chocolate and cakes and love healthy grub.

But she says fruits and salads now taste like salt.

The former NHS exercise educator had a 12-hour op at London’s King’s College Hospital in 2020 to remove a rare tumour.

She now moves around with a frame and is trying to limit her junk food consumption as she fears it will hinder her goal to walk with a stick.

She said: “I’d never ever eaten a McDonald’s or a chicken McNugget but it’s the first thing I wanted.

“What’s that about?

“It was absolutely lovely.

“I had a TV in my room and think it might be the advertising.”
