MCDONALD’S Monopoly has come to an end and that means players have just hours left to cash in on any prizes.

The popular game was launched on September 4 and ran until October 18.

But players must redeem any winning stickers before the end of today, November 15.

We’ve approached McDonald’s to see if there are any exceptions to the deadline and will update this story when we know more.

But missing the deadline could see you losing out on prizes worth potentially tens of thousands of pounds – like this one Maccie’s fan.

Or even the top £100k prize.

What is McDonald’s Monopoly?

McDonald’s launched Monopoly in 2005, which works in a similar way to the classic board game.

Customers collect game pieces when they buy specific McDonald’s products, such as colour co-ordinated road names or train stations.

The game pieces appear as stickers on your food packaging.

However, not all menu items are worth the same amount.

If you are lucky enough to get a token, you then can redeem it for prize.

Maccie’s fans had extra reason to celebrate this year as well after the chain launched a new “Double peel” feature, which gave players another sticker each time they earned a property in the game.

How do I redeem McDonald’s voucher codes?

How you claim McDonald’s Monopoly voucher codes varies depending on what you’ve got as there are so many up for grabs.

However, instant win food prizes can be redeemed at any McDonald’s branch by handing the token over at the counter when you order.

You’ll need to hand the game pieces over to a member of staff when you collect your meal.

If you’ve won free food in the online game then you’ll get a unique QR code, along with a 12 digit code that you can scan or enter at the kiosk or via the app.

Remember, you won’t be able to redeem tokens in a McDonald’s branch unless it’s food.

Plus, some voucher codes have to be redeemed directly with the retailer that issued them.

Either way, each winning token comes with a particular website address printed on it and this is where you’ll need to redeem it.

If you’ve got a winning token or code, you may need to provide some of your personal details to be able to redeem it.

This might include your date of birth, email address, phone number, full name and address.

You will then be asked to choose how you want to receive your winnings, which will be either via email or delivery.

It comes after McDonald’s said it would be phasing out plastic cutlery across England and Wales restaurants in a bid to be more eco-friendly.

The fast food chain also ditched plastic McFlurry lids in 2019.

A year before then, it started phasing out plastic straws and replaced them with paper ones.
