UK’s cheapest supermarket for advent calendars this week – including Dairy Milk and Maltesers

HOUSEHOLDS will be heading to the supermarket in the coming weeks to bag an advent calendar to mark the start of December.

And you’ll probably want to get the best deal for your money by bagging the cheapest ones on the shelves right now.

Which advent calendar will you be on the lookout for this year?

As shoppers bag selection tubs and Christmas hampers in the transition to winter, an advent calendar is likely on the list too.

And while there are gin and wine calendars at some supermarkets for Christmas, you might just be looking for a classic Cadbury’s calendar.

As always, remember to check several places in case we missed a cheaper price – there’s never a bad time to catch a bargain.

Prices may vary day to day as well depending on what deals are on, so make sure you check, and look at delivery costs too if you’re ordering online.

There’s a handy comparison site – Trolley.co.uk – which compares the prices of 130,000 products across 14 major supermarkets.

The Latest Deals app also lets you search items and lets you compare prices at several supermarkets to see where it’s cheaper.

But here’s a quick roundup of supermarkets and their cheapest calendars.

Tesco

Tesco does a 90g Cadbury Dairy Milk calendar for £1.50 – or £1.25 at Clubcard price.

This offer is available in store and online – just keep in mind delivery costs if you get it sent to your home.

The supermarket also has a 108g Maltesers reindeer calendar on sale for £2 – but this one doesn’t have a Clubcard deal on it.

Morrisons

The cheapest Morrisons advent calendar we found on its website was its range of 40g £1 kids calendars – including themes like Barbie, Hot Wheels, Peppa Pig and Paw Patrol.

You might need to call up your local branch to check their stock if you’re after any of those.

However, there are other cheap ones you could go for that are slightly larger – the 110g Galaxy Smooth Milk calendar is £2.

And, like Tesco, the 108g Maltesers one also costs £2.

Asda

Asda has the 90g Cadbury Dairy Milk calendar online for £1.50 too – but if you have a Clubcard you’re better to drop by Tesco for a cheaper price.

However, for some more variety, we’ve spotted a 90g Cadbury White Chocolate calendar also for £1.50 – these are only sold at Asda.

Do call up your nearest store to check these are in stock if you plan to drop round – stock may be subject to availability.

We also found the 40g Paw Patrol and Peppa Pig calendars for £1.

B&M

The Cadbury Dairy Milk calendar is actually a bit more expensive at B&M – priced at £1.89.

But if you’re a fan of Milky Bar, you can pick up an 85g calendar for £2 – one we haven’t spotted elsewhere.

And if you’ve got an eye for something to spice things up, there’s an exclusive B&M Chilli Hot Sauce calendar for £5.

Otherwise, the 110g Galaxy, 108g Maltesers and a 242g Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup calendar are all £2.

Iceland

Iceland has an offer on the 90g Cadbury calendar at the moment – two for £3, or £2 each.

However, if you have a Clubcard, it’s still cheaper to buy two of these from Tesco because it would only cost you £2.50 in that case.

The deal is online when you click on the Iceland website, but you’ll need to check with staff in stores if that’s where you’re headed.

The bargain supermarket also has the 108g Maltesers and 110g Galaxy calendars for £2.

Sainsbury’s

The 90g Cadbury calendar is £1.50 from Sainsbury’s. However, there’s no deal on it that we can see.

But if you’ve got your eye on the 110g Galaxy calendar – it’s £2.50 here, so an extra 50p than the likes of Iceland, B&M etc.

But for something different again, there’s a 167g Kinder Bueno calendar on shelves at Sainsbury’s for £5 – down from £8.

You’ll need to check with staff whether this deal is in stores too – we recommend you call up first to avoid disappointment.

If you’re interested in more round-ups like this one, we also did a cheap Quality Street tubs list which you can use to find the cheapest deal – read here.

And you could claim a free chocolate bar from Cadbury this year for FREE.
