A SHOPPER managed to bag a £200 Tefal air fryer for just £70 using Martin Lewis’ deal tool.
The savvy saver shared her exciting purchase to Martin Lewis’ MoneySavingExpert (MSE).
The deal tool – the Amazon Warehouse Discount Finder – helps shoppers find quality items from the Amazon Warehouse.
This is where items are kept if they’re slightly damaged or under value, but the tool helps locate products in good condition for a great price.
You simply search an item you’re looking for, and it’ll come up with:
- How much you’ll save compared to a new version on Amazon
- An option to select brand and condition
- The biggest discount you can order it with
One shopper reported her success with the tool to MSE: “Bought a £200 Tefal Actifry for £70, listed as cosmetic damage. Arrived with not a mark on it.
The Tefal Actifry costs £149 from Currys – and that’s on sale for £100 cheaper than the usual price.
We also found the same model for £250 at Argos.
And it costs £149.99 if you buy it from Aldi – although we spotted the Ambiano Dual Basket fryer there for £110 less than Ninja.
Of course, you should always shop around first to see if you can find a better quality product for less.
Prices may vary day to day as well depending on what deals are on, so make sure you check, and look at delivery costs too if you’re ordering online.
There’s a handy comparison site – Trolley.co.uk – which compares the prices of 130,000 products across 14 major supermarkets.
The Latest Deals app also lets you search items and lets you compare prices at several supermarkets to see where it’s cheaper.
For example, you can buy a 5.7l Instant Vortex Plus fryer for £80 from Argos – down from £120.
It serves five to six people at a time.
And Iceland is bringing back its air fryer that flew off shelves last month because of its bargain price.
The sought-after kitchen gadget sold out in one week the last time it was in stock.
Iceland shoppers who missed out in October will be able to pick up the 4L Tower Air Fryer from November 28 – but there’s a catch.
Only customers who spend £20 in store will be able to get the fryer for the discounted £35, unlike the last time when it was just £35 without a minimum spend.
Do bear in mind you will be spending a total of £55 in store and on the fryer if you want the discounted rate.
The kitchen gadget costs £49.99 on its own.
