THOUSANDS of Brits could get Tax Credit benefits early – with recipients set to receive their cash a day before their payment date.
But not everyone will get their payments early – it depends on the date you usually get paid – so you’re advised to make your money last as the cost of living crisis continues.
Tax Credit households expecting a payment on Wednesday, January 4 will be paid on Tuesday January 3 instead.
It comes after Universal Credit and other benefit payments were sent on December 30 as January 2, 2023 is a bank holiday.
Meanwhile, an additional £300 payment is being added to the annual Winter Fuel Payment – totalling £600. Households who believe they are eligible are urged to call up the Winter Fuel Payment Centre if they haven’t received the cash by January 13.
