SUPERMARKET chain Aldi will extend its Christmas opening hours and has revealed the exact date its turkeys will go on sale.
The German retailer said the majority of stores would be opening from 7am to 10pm from December 19 to December 23.
Aldi stores’ opening hours vary depending on where you live, but usually they don’t open until 8am Monday to Friday.
They typically only open for six hours on a Sunday as well.
That means customers will get an extra hour to pick up food in the mornings in the run up to Christmas Eve.
Plus an extra half hour in the morning on December 24.
Stores will also be open until 6pm on Christmas Eve but will close on Christmas Day and Boxing Day as per usual.
The majority of stores will be open from 8am until 8pm in between Christmas and New Year, and until 6pm on New Year’s Eve.
Stores will also be open until 8pm on Bank Holiday Monday, January 2, 2023.
Customers are urged to check their nearest store to double-check its opening hours.
The supermarket chain also confirmed its British turkeys will arrive in stores from December 19.
It comes after the company released it’s Christmas advert today featuring Kevin the Carrot.
The iconic character has featured in the discounter’s Christmas campaign for a number of years.
There are other retailers who have changed their festive opening hours.
In October, Home Bargains confirmed its stores will close on Boxing Day to give staff time off.
The retailer also said it will shut up shop on New Year’s Day.
John Lewis will be closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
The majority of stores will be open between 9am and 6pm between Christmas and New Year.
